Selangor Government and IO Esports Collaborate To Launch Selangor Cyber Games 2020 – Piala Duduk Rumah; Entry Fee To Be Donated to COVID-19 Fund

IO Esports News
As the Movement Control Order is currently taking place, the Malaysian government has been finding ways to encourage its citizens to stay at home. At the same time, Selangor Cyber Games 2020 – Piala Duduk Rumah (SCG 2020 - Piala Duduk Rumah) is announced to encourage gamers in Malaysia to stay at home and participate in the online tournament.

As every year comes, SCG has been something that most of the Malaysian esports community has been looking out for. This time, SCG will be running in an all-online format, offering up to RM 40,000 of prize pool and featuring two major mobile games including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG MOBILE.

On top of that, SCG will also be featuring its invited teams from the top eight teams of the PMPL MY/SG Round Robin Season 1 as well as the top 4 teams of the MPL MY/SG Season 5 to add in the esports competitive value in the tournament.

With that, we aim to be part of the COVID-19 awareness community where the entry fee of RM10 collected will be donated to Malaysia's COVID-19 fund to help the patients. With 512 available slots for both games each respectively, we are able to cater for at least 4,000 players and that is not including the ones who will be watching at home.

Additionally, with the support from Penggerak Belia Tempatan (PeBT) as well as Mobile Legends’ Esports for Everyone (E-Project), we believe that SCG would be a blast for the Malaysian esports community.

At the very end, let us all work together as Malaysians as well as a part of the global community to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 infection. It is without a doubt that we are still able to enjoy esports even during these situations.

The live stream for Selangor Cyber Games 2020 – Piala Duduk Rumah will be broadcasted live on IO Esports Facebook page. Stay tuned!
